Bayern Munich defender Breno Borges' troubled four-year spell in Germany could be ended by former club Sao Paulo in January.
Breno's time in Europe since joining Bayern in 2008 has not been an entirely pleasant one; he struggled to find a place in the squad and his plague of injuries meant that Borges made only 21 appearances for the Bavarian side.
He was sent on loan to Nuremberg last season but it failed to work out for the Brazilian as his season was ended prematurely with a cruciate ligament injury.
Breno then revealed his desire to return to his childhood club on Twitter earlier this year but a summer move didn't materialise due to the knee injury he sustained.
